about
Riya & Collette Warren are delighted to present to you the third rework from the ‘More Sides of Everything’ album remix project.
This time, we have Bristol-based producer, music production tutor, and DJ - Phaction in the remix seat, giving ‘Carnelian’ ft. Koherent a whole new lease of life and energy.
Phaction, aka Alex Pavlou, is hot stuff right now. His most recent release on stateside label Rolled Up Records reached number 2 in the Beatport Top 100 charts, and his release with Riya on Metalheadz entitled ‘Aviatrix’ has had over 1 million streams.
His expert sampling skills, high production values, and meticulous attention is the reason why Goldie at Metalheadz and Total Science at CIA Records signed music from him, as well as others. He is well respected in his field by peers and punters alike.
His take on ‘Carnelian’ is a great example of what Phaction can do. He takes subtle elements from an original track and creates something totally fresh whilst still maintaining that familiarity. We see his classic Phaction style of reimagining the vocals, creating whole new phrases and concepts from existing words. It’s insanely clever and we love it.
I died inside, then I realised, the flaw in perfection, the gift of a rejection, I'm still in progress and that's not meaningless, I know I'll always be, moving towards all my dreams
Greater than the great discoveries, is seeking out some opportunities, greater than the great discoveries is showing your vulnerability, showing your vulnerability, yeah

Another class piece from Break. The original was good when it hit. The Bad Company remix was next level and this one to me is a close race for best remix of this classic. This one to me has the most gnarly drop of all. Like his formula is to sneak up on you with the drop and he accomplishes that mission over and over and over again. I've been collecting Break & Silent Witness tracks when I started buying records over 20 years ago.
