Nearly two years after starting Carnelian Music with Collette Warren - Riya - award-winning vocalist - drops her first solo release on the label -‘Run the Risk’, brilliantly produced by Amsterdam-based Auris.

The track is an exciting collaboration between the old-gen and the new-gen, that sees the infusion of deep liquid, and rolling drum and bass with the jazz ‘noir’ sound, topped off with emotive, thought-provoking vocals.

“The lyrics explore how modern day distractions (in their many forms) can impact connection, communication, and intimacy in long-term romantic relationships, and ultimately 'run the risk' of losing sight of what’s important.”
